Default Sedona - Greasy Spoon run?

Hey has anybody ever been through Greasy Spoon near Sedona? I "tried" it in a rented JK 4-door... I didn't make it...

This should probably be in thh Four Corners section, Sedona is in AZ.

Probably not going to do that in a rental vehicle, nor should you try unless you got the extra insurance. While not a difficult trail for modified rigs or Rubicon's, stock X (with A/T's) & Sahara will find it a bit challenging, but doable when dry. When wet it's more difficult.

Oh and I might add that it was a "2-wheel drive" rented JK... DOH! That might be why I didn't make it... Oh well, it was a nice trail.

That had to be painful to drive around in and makes sense that you couldn't do the trail.

I got into the trail and made it down the first really big hill and then realized that I had to go back out... Well, let's just say; I barely made it back up the hill. I had to drive it back up so fast with ESP off, that I jumped the Jeep at the top and landed and blew out my right rear tire. I have some pics at: http://www.benhedrick.com/JeepPage.htm

At the bottom of the age are the pics of Greasy Spoon. Great trail and I would love to go back, better prepared.

I did it two weeks ago in my unlimited X,you can make it all the way in a stock height JK if you stay on the road,we went on the more difficult lines but you do not have to.Plan on doing something else while you are in sedona as well,Greasyspoon only took us about an hour.

Oh I agree that a stock "4-wheel drive" Jeep could make it, but keep in mind that I was in a "stock 2-wheel drive, non-modified" Jeep JK Unlimited rental... The trail is rated "difficult", but at the time; I was quite optimistist that I would be able to make it...

I had a blast anyway but I scared that crap out of my wife...

That's one great looking Jeep you have (not the rental). I really like how you set up you front bumper and lights.

Thank you... This is my 8th Jeep but when I was in Arizona and rented the new JK Unlimited, I was SOLD! Even if it was a 2WD. I really am having a blast with my Sahara. If I had the time, I would LOVE to drive it all the way to Arizona for about two weeks of Jeeping around.

And yes, my MORE front bumper, Warn winch and Soltek light package I couldn't be happier with. Thanks again.
