Default Want to make a run for it in AZ.

I don't really know a whole lot of people with 4x4 vehicles, but I would like to take a run somewhere in the near future. Anyone close to the PHX, AZ area that would want to take a trail somewhere? Any suggestions of good day trips? ( I just went to Sedona, Broken Arrow, so maybe somewhere other than that ). I have M/T tires but no lift so I can't do anything too extreme, but am eager to find some new trails!

Thanks!

you can get a couple fo different books on arizona trails at 4 wheelers supply on washington an 35th st. or i think also at barnes. they offer some greatg trails but some give gps points so if you dont have a gps dont worry. if you ever in southeast valley just send me private message. ive done many all over az.

I'll send you some invites on our next outings!
We just did Bulldog Canyon last weekend and Saguaro Lake coves.
I'm heading up to Sedona on Jan 11th, unfortunately you just did that trail.
Check out AZ Virtual Jeep Clubs website, there are 2 AZVJC so I'll send you the link to the one I go out on trail rides with.
I would like to see an AZ JK get together, and I know others on this forum have said the same, so I hope we can get something together.

Montana Mountain Trail is pretty good, not too much technical, but at over 30 miles it's a good day trip. It's out on US 60 just past the Florence Junction Turn off. I did it a couple weeks ago and had a blast. It can get a little tricky as it gets narrow in spots and on the north side you get up over 6000' so you have to watch for ice. Let me know if you plan a run, if I'm available I'd love to go.

That Montana Mountain Trail is a great trail to do in the spring when all the Cacti are blooming and its not so cold up at the top.

Good call, though I didn't mind the cold (from Chicago), as a Photographer, I'm always looking for great pics and this spring may have some great color.
