Default DIY bikini top, need thoughts and opinions.

So I am looking to make my own bikini top, I have put a lot of thought into it and in my head the best mesh material I can think of is an old trampoline mat off of one of those 10' or 15' trampolines. I have a general idea of how I want to put it all together but I want to know everyone's thought of the trampoline mat compared to other materials.

I used solar screen from Home Depot. It's already the correct width... Just cut the length to fit. Installed brass grommets (also bought at HD) around the edges and bungee cord it on. 25 bucks and an hour. Blocks 90% of the sun, but you can still see through it.

Trampoline material would be nice and heavy duty, but would it fray at the edges where you cut it?

Well I found the mat that someone will sell me for $30. I will cut it to be a little over sized to fold over to have a thicker edge and i was also thinking of just un-sewing the outer edge of the trampoline mat that has the thick nylon with the rings where the springs attach to have areas to hang things while I'm out camping, or even to hang a little hammock for extra storage. Then I would do the grommets obviously for the bungee straps. I was even thinking of making it two piece with a zipper in the middle but I have yet to find what i think of as a worthy weather proof zipper.

Hey guys, my brother got the material a couple days ago and he's still sourcing other items and what not. Just trying to keep you updated since he's a very busy dad.
