Default Tailgate rattle

I have a 2012 2dr and now I got a rattle noise at the tailgate. Happens at every little bump. when the road is smooth its fine. Anyone experience this?
The dealer said its normal. Before I take it in again I would like to do as my research as possible before hand.
Thanks

It could be any one of a few different causes.

I did this on mine. It worked on all 5 doors.

Plastic electrical tape on the striker:

I bought the new Teraflex carrier. Took care of all the noise from the loose hinges.

Thanks for the tape idea. I will give it a shot. Thanks for the info both of you.

At least I'm not crazy, well sort of.

I believe I may have fixed my rattle. Was the lower catch plate, a little black electrical tape and rattle gone.

Wahoo!

I have had the same problem with my 07 doors there is a tsb from jeep thats says to put grease on the latch and striker to fix. After I did this I havent hear any noise and its been almost a year since I did it. The tape I imagine would work good but I would rather do what jeep says to do cause grease will also lubricate everything and prevent premature wear of the latches.
