Default Badlands Mission Impossible Guided Tour

Hey Guys,
I was just on the badlands site and saw that they are conducting a guided tour of the mission impossible section of the badlands off road park on 21 & 22 Aug. I am a new owner of a stock Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and have only a limited amount of off-road time behind the windshiled. Has anyone ever ridden the mission impossible area? I'm wondering if my stock rig will be up for the "impossible".

I'm definitely going that weekend and would be interested in riding with anyone in the regular badlands park too. My girlfriend and I had a great time a month or so ago after meeting Cpt. FlapJack when he pulled us out of a hole.

Good riding this weekend!

Glad to hear from you! I'm not sure what area of the park that would be in. If its the red trail, then you need a highly modified rig to do it. Do you have a description of where the trail is?

I was there yesterday on atvs and I saw a couple spots with a new sign that said (do not enter) and it looked like a new trail to me but I did not check it out. Sorry I dont remember what trail I was on when I saw the sign. I know a guy that has a rock crawler and he mentioned it a couple weeks ago but he said they want to much money to do the run.

I don't know for sure but I understand that it is a new trail and one that is a short drive from the badlands park proper. From what I could find on the internet, it is owned by the same people just a different patch of land. I've read some conversations that say that the mission impossible trail has everything from easy to extreme so I guess I'll find out.

Thanks for the info! I was able to find the registration form for the ride and they are charging $35 for one day and $60 for two day rides. Is that a lot? This is the first time I've looked into a guided trail ride. Thanks again for the info!

Hi, I was with Capt.Flapjacks' group that day he helped you out, sorry we did not get to meet in person that day. I was planning to go on this guided tour on Sept 18/19, I have not paid yet though. August might be rough for me, and Oct might be the fall colors run in MI.....Anyone planning the Sept dates for this?

Looking at the entry form on the Badlands website, they ask for your experience level and how your rig is set-up, so my guess is they will have different levels of difficulty for this guided trail run. I would like to go just to see the area of the park that they keep off limits to most.

Hey, I really appreciate you guys pausing to pull us out that day! We had a blast once we knew where we were going ... I'm sure we'll meet at some point. I'd like to go out there again on the 18/19 Sept. but I'm going to be traveling that day. I also saw the difficulty and experience level boxes on the form so I'm going to go ahead and go to see this restricted part of the park. I'll try to take lots of pics and provide a full report.

Hey! We were there on the "easy" ride. We were in a stock ''05 TJ. It was a Freaking BLAST! I have a stock '08 JK but that guy isn't hitting the trails until its paid for .

There was a Stock Geo Tracker and a stock H3 that were slowing our group. We debated on going with the medium trail ride, but glad we didn't. The rain the night before totally destroyed the trails... made them WAY more fun

Yes, I remember saying hello to you when you were putting the flag on your rig. Glad you had a great time! We did the medium trail and it was challenging. I got a nice shiner on my front bumper and some really nice carvings in my skid plates. We rock crawled up a couple of ravines and I learned a lot from that experience. I'm looking forward to another run in the fall.
