This is a huge park with trails for all levels. We will break up into groups and accomadate anyone who wants to go.

The off road park is located in Oliver Springs TN

I will be camping in the motor home and will be staying at a new campgrounds. The camp grounds we stayed at last year was a wet open swamp with crap services. the new campgrounds is called windrock park.

link to last years run down there if you want to see the terrain and the fun we all had.

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ght=coal+creek

for cabin rental heat and air with full bath, has fridge, microwave/stove but you will need to bring linens and dishes for cooking, sleeping etc... these run 100 per night and sound much nicer then last years cabins, and they are new with 4 twin beds. your wife should be much happier shoup

tent sights are 16 per night and they have a wooded area (overflow area)for shade. bath house is available for use with tent camping price.

rv sights are 38 a night and full hookups with concreate pad and fire rings etc.... you can also put up to two tents on a rv sight for the same money and have power and concreate pad but it is not shaded like the tent sights area is.

this is 1/2 mile down windrock rd and 2 miles or so from the main park entrence on the same road.

if you have more questions look at the link in the first post for numbers and more description.

this park sounds nice and is close to the wheeling area and town.

What's the layout of the campground? meaning... are the RV spots close to the cabins?, are the cabins close to the tent camping area??
I would like to have everybody who goes no matter how they camp be close together so we can be as one big happy "drunk" (maybe) family!!!

I am looking into this weekend, my wife is checking to see if someone from her work will trade weekends with her, I'm not 100%, but really would like to go!

I will get a hold of the campgrounds this week and check it out unless you have more info for us....

most campgrounds say that for insurance reasons. the attica family campgrounds right outside the badlands says that as well and i could not count how many beer bottles people were walking around with last weekend. it is also all private roads in the campgrounds so dui won't be a issue driving back from tent sights to rv and cabins.

the tent camping is not as close as the rest of the sights are about 1/4 mile. if you are looking to tent camp i would recomend a rv sight and split it with someone else. it will be hot though and there are not many trees for shade in the regular rv and cabin areas just to let you know beforehand. the other camp grounds was pretty bad and no shade at all, and this one is new with more to offer. cabins are prob the best bet if you don't have a rv and they will sleep 4 people for a 100 bucks.

if anyone finds a better campground let me know but out of the 3 i found this one seems the best and is brand new this year. the one we stayed at last year had no host there to direct you or sell ice, wood etc.... and only showed up to take your money when it was due lol.

Didn't mean it as a slam or to be offensive, I enjoy drunkeness as much as the next guy. I was just commenting on what I saw on their website. I would like to be able to ejoy a few cold beers as well. I have no idea if the rules are enforced. I just wouldn't want to get kicked out over a beer. I have stayed at the other Windrock campground and they were pretty strict on their rules (radios off and quiet after 10) but they did allow alchohol.

Sorry this is getting off topic. I'd like to make this trip, I will work on the logistics, I would stay in a 5th wheel camper if I can figure a way to get the jeep in it, or get someone to haul it in trade for a bunk in my camper. Or if someone else has a camper I can haul jeeps. I can probably get three in an enclosed trailer.
I have all the trails down there on GPS too.
