I grew up in the Richmond/ Spring Grove area in northeast IL and did alot of four wheeling around there. It is all built up in houses where we used to go, very sad. I moved to WI 18 years ago and there are alot more places up here. Still refer to ILL as home from time to time.

Downers Grove, 07 Unlimited, Jeep Green. 25,000. Badlands 1 time, Smashed the mirror and freaked the wife. Was told, I'm to old to be doing this (only 47). Midlife crisis?!? I had a 73 Wagoneer in HS, When we were first married a Cherokee and finally my Wrangler (was able to get because of the 4 doors). My wife saw the sand stuff and said that may be fun. Any other stuff I have to do on the down low (something about having it paid off first.) Basically minimal to no mods as we have 1 in college and one going in a year. I was able to get this when my oldest bailed from college and I spent the rest on my (our) Jeep. My 15 year old had a blast at badlands. Was able to snag an 88 Bronco II for $100 (partially modified with tires upgraded shocks, winch and lots of lights). Hasn't driven in 8+ years because of electrical stuff but I'm patient and my son and I can use it to beat on until the JK is paid for. I will try to join up with some gatherings if possible. Thanks.
