congrats on the baby on the way. I am on the fence about selling my soft top, keep putting it on craigslist and taking it off. You shouldnt have any problems picking up a soft top for a decent price, I see them on the chicago area Craigslist all the time and I see a lot on the for sale threads here too. If I make the decision to sell mine, I'll let you know for sure.

Tnx ddubb have a Guy on craigslist here who wants a grand for a new factory one. Was thinking 705.00 for new trek top sounded better plus looks cooler. But if price is right factory soft top will do.

That was my continuing deilema, keep the oem soft top bc it easy to use and dont need a header bar or the bestop trek top also bc it looks cool and lots of different ways to use it and ease of use, but the install says you need a header bar and two roof bars for support.

It comes with those three bars... Why are they an issue?

I havent done a lot of research on that top yet, but i figured you had to take them off to put the hard top back on? And i have a spiderweb trail shade on at all times and it fits under the oem soft top even when the soft top is up. I just want to make sure the trektop can go in top of the spiderweb shade so i can easily go back and forth. The rain in chicago comes with no warning

I live in Peoria 2+ hrs south of you. Anyways, from what I've heard, the trektop design is VERY similar to the OEM top as far as the solid mounts themselves (only had a trektop, never had OEM). So if the OEM top doesn't interfere with the webshade, the trektop shouldn't either. And since you can zip off the sides/rear easily and just have the top bikini section on, you don't even really need the webshade. The mounts DO need to come off for the hardtop, but it shouldn't take long and I only plan on doing that once a year, at the end of summer. The header bar is screwed down, but the other two arched cross-bars just pop into place and you could have both removed within 10 seconds.

Traded in the 07 X. Bought a 12 rubi. The Friday before Labor Day. I've put 20xx some miles on it. Already have XD rims don't know off set 17" blk with 33" BFG km2's. 1" body lift. 1.5" leveling spacers. And my old bushwhacker fender flares. (Got em back and installed from the dealer $200, plus I gave them the stock ones off the rubi.) waiting on a front bumper but I have a smitty built x20 10,000 lb winch sitting in the garage.
