Minnesota's ramble on and on thread.
Has anyone tried any of the DIY powder coating systems? I have been looking. My neighbor was getting rid of his oven so I hauled it into the garage. Now I just need the powder coating gun.
So tonight when I got home from work I started helping my brother who had been working on putting the shocks on the XJ. We were on the last corner, and all of a sudden I felt the XJ rolling forward. I yelled for my brother to watch out, (in hindsight, "Get out of the F**king way!" probably would have been more effective). I looked and watched his legs shoot up as the XJ dropped on his chest. I grabbed the corner of the bumper and picked the thing up while he slowly rolled out from underneath. Definitely could have been a lot worse, but it landed on the rear drum and that saved it from the leaf spring crushing his chest. So he nearly killed me when I put the lift on my old XK, and my XJ nearly kills him. Payback is sweet.

instead of holding throttle wide open and hoping something doesn't try to come to a sudden stop

Mudding definitely made a mess down there. there were rocks everywhere -including one lodged in my caliper making a horrid 'nails in a chalkboard' sound. Replaced that and now we're good.
..then I went biking
