Do I need rock slider and mud flaps.

It will do fine. The trails there are a lot easier than in Gilbert. It would be a good place to test out a stock rig.

Before you hit the rocks at Gilbert I would definitely ditch the side steps and get some rocker armor I busted the passenger side step in the rocks and did this to my drivers side rocker:



That may not look like much but if I had hit any harder I wouldn't be able to open the door. The steel on these JK's is just slightly thicker than paper.

dont matter wheel what ya got. my brother might come and he has an old CJ-7. anyone know if you need an offroad sticker to wheel there? i have one just to be safe but not sure if you need one

How would stock tires do on an XK? The tires on the XJ aren't in too great of shape, and I only have stock tires on my XK, but it has a 2" lift, and the Quadra-Trac II Transfer Case.
