Done wheeling hard but still saw the sights. That was officially the last time I wheel stock. Bring on the MODS!!!!

You would have had frost bit on those toes in Duluth today. It was a balmy 45 degrees.

The main factor was that it wasn't made for a body lifted jeep and I think that's why it rattled.
I had to adjust it super stiff so it wouldn't rattle but the door closed hard.
Also I didn't like the integrity of the hi lift jack adaptor, super flimsy
I'm rolling a 38 on my stock carrier
Today only that is!!!
I can give ya some good ideas for carriers
I really like OhSevens rear carrier
The Rancho one is pretty sweet
TeraFlex looks interesting as well!!
This the Rancho one you're refering to?

There's a youtube video showing you basically can't mount the hi-lift on it without eventual damage to the tailgate (can only partially be opened). I'm not sure that's a big deal to me as I wouldn't mount it there anyway. I do wonder though how much of a pain it is to open it and the tailgate every time just to get into the back (something I do an awful lot being a 2-door). The price certainly isn't bad though.

Also does Minnesota require you to have a rear bumper that's Tub width of vehicle ?!?

Uhh thats a good question, same could be said for the front too come to think of it. I haven't been hassled at all about my front, but don't seem to recall even seeing a stubby rear on any jeeps in the last year.

Stumbled across this one a little while ago:
2007-2012 Jeep JK Shorty Signature Series Rear Bumper w/ Generation 3 Tire Carrier :: Signature Series Rear Bumper w/ Tire Carrier :: 2007-2012 Jeep JK Products :: Jeep :: LoD Offroad

It goes all the way across but doesn't wrap around. I know Wayalife has had one on his jeep for years and i haven't seen him complain about it, and it looks awfully expandable.
