How do you like the TL's? I've been looking at those for a while now and the reviews were pretty good overall save for the few where people specifically pointed out some mild flickering. have you experienced this at all? Which version do you have?

I was also looking at the JW Speakers for 750 shipped. pricey and i'm sure they're excellent but i'd like to compare side by sides with the TL's in person.

Cibies with the H4 bulbs? I thought about that too. I even thought about using a bright white HID kit using the Daniel Stern 'approved' housing... I'll have to ask irongate about his set-up.

I do like the LED's but i never thought about winter driving. Are you thinking because the LED's don't get hot the snow will collect on the lights?

Yes this last March OhSeven and I were in Bemidji snow 4x4ing and it was coming down pretty good and the snow didn't melt. I still would buy them though because most of the time of I stopped a quick wipe off works great.
I run a $40.00 homemade harness that stops the very "small" flicker on the newer versions like I have. The 1st series flickered a lot.

Mudbob has the right idea. No laws have to be broken. Just have to clean the tires before hitting the pavement.
