Default Muskegon Trail Ride July 12th

Any West Michigan Jeepers in for a trail ride Sunday July 12th? I have few Jeep owners from Portage that want to try some of our trails up here. Plans would be to meet at the old Orchard Market 2301 Holton Rd , corner River & Holton (M120 ). Would like to hit the trail by 10am and be on the trail for about 4 hrs.. Trails are easy except for the last section which will require some good maneuvering between trees. The first few sections are a little bumpy, but soem nice hills to play on. I have taken these trails in my stock 2dr with no problems, except a few scratches (surface, not deep) that rub out. Wife, girlfriends and kids welcome. Also bring a snack and drinks seeing no stores on the trail.

OK, then it's a go for sure! Will do the ride even if it's only 2 or 3 jeeps.

TekWarren: Please talk you wife into it, will make my wife feel better. Had a hard time talking her into going. She is starting to enjoy trail riding more each time, except she may cause me to wrap my JK around a tree someday. She fell in love with the Jeep roller coaster commercial and keeps saying go faster, go faster!

PIPES2008: Hope these trails live up to your expectations, you are driving a long way for this ride. May plan a fall color tour up around Cadillac if I can plan a route out or find someone up there to help out.

Below is a link to Google Maps that shows the parking lot we will be meeting at. I should be there around 9:30 AM and plan on leaving around 10 for the trails. If anyone has 2-way radios bring them so we can keep in touch, I don't have a CB yet.

I'll talk the wife into going unless she has a horse then I'm on my own...maybe even bring the dogs but sometimes that becomes more of a handful.

I was going to ask if anyone had a SWR meter because I've had some issues with my cb sending out but am int he process of changing it around a bit. I have FRS/GMRS radios also though so no biggie if we just use those.

I'm sure the trails will be fine, lets face it, any trails are fine!-that's what this is all about!!-we have nothing around here, so this will seem like the Rubicon trail!--I may have 3 other JK's w/me, I hope!--this may be a better turn-out than you think!--I'll be bringing my son, and JimmyJoe will have his boy w/him also. We'll be there on time, dont worry

TekWarren: tell your wife she might find some riding area for the horses on the ride. I've come across signs of riders on many of the trails. Even came across some campers with horses out in the middle of no where several times.

Will check with my brother in law about a SWR meter, he's an electrician and has tons of equipment.
