Project-JK The Badlands 2009 (Official Thread)
Out of interest from the Great Lakes, we are going to have two runs this summer.
Saturday will start with registration at 9:00am. This will be Customer Appreciation Day, so Kyle told me they will have hot dogs all day and other things. This is part of your admission that day, so lunch will be easy. The park closes at 7:00pm, but they will have an offroad race at 7:00 for anyone that wants to watch, with fireworks to follow.
Update: Meet in the Badlands parking lot at 9:15 after you have checked in with the office to say hello and get things organized. We will do things very similar to last time with groups of 6-8 Jeeps. People who have been to the Badlands a few times will be leading a group safely around the park. We will also decide what CB channel each group is on as we send groups out. We will meet back in the parking lot for lunch and a giveaway. Then meet back later for one last giveaway.
Sunday will start the same (9:00am). The park closes at 5:00 on Sundays, so we have most of the day to wheel and then travel home. This was the day that most people were able to wheel the most, so don't just come for Saturday, if possible.
Rates are $20 a day or $30 for a two day pass. $5 for each passenger.

Trail Run #2:
August 8th - 9th: Badlands (Attica, Indiana)
After last trip, it has been decided that SUMMERS Campground is the place to be. They have a nice swimming pool for the kids, a playground, and showers available for everyone. The rate was $8.00 per adult and I believe $3.00 for each child (at least that is what I paid).

WOOP WOOP WOOP I'm down for both dates....I will have to post up some good places to stay.....
The campgrounds by the badlands, the attica inn isnt too bad, and the attica campgrounds.

I'm there for both dates. I will probably camp both times.
However the last two times I went I stayed at hotel Atica. It's not the Ritz but its 3 min away and $50 (I think) per night.
I'm sure MIMUDBOSS will be joining both events also.

Gonna be on Drummond Island for the Jamboree in June, but if we don't break anything there, we'll try to go in August.
Anyone going any earlier than June? Never been to Badlands before and we're looking for someone show us around.

thanx Wingsfan!!! i will be there one of those dates. don't know which yet? probably June b/c once summer comes i get ancy for some wheelin!
i still don't have all my goodies installed. so now this gives me a deadline to aim for. and i still need an ARB front bumper to mount my Warn 9.5ti sitting in the garage.
