Project-JK The Badlands 2009 (Official Thread)
Hey Gang,
I hope to make either Sat or Sun run, coming in from Indy. If my wife doesn't join me (she loves to drive and off-roaded my TJ) it will be one of her cousins who is new to off roading.
Anyone need extra recovery gear? I have lots of stuff in my on going collection. Just bringing the winch, straps, blocks, shackles...hopefully won't need them but just in case someone has a little too much fun. Let me know if I should bring the farm for any who don't have it.
Will be a fun first time with the JK. Got it last year and felt so bad not being able to find time to wheel it yet. Had lots of fun at the badlands with my TJ and XJ

Danger,
check out the post "indy convoy" if you want to join us Sat. am.
Well, boys, I was all excited and ready to make my short trip to Attica in the morning.
My daughters had tryouts for travel soccer this evening and my son asked me to kick the ball around with him while we waited.
After about 30 minutes of inflaming my bad knee, I ran after a loose ball and stepped on it with my right foot.
As most of you can guess, it wasn't pretty.

I sprained it pretty badly. When it went, I heard and felt two loud pops.
I get to spend a few days hopped up on painkillers, with an icepack and elevation.
Sorry I have to miss this one.

NOT!
In the spirit of teaching the young whippersnappers a thing or two about dedication, I'm going anyway, damn it!
Come loss of overtime or debilitating injury, we Jeepers can't let stuff get in the way of good times offroad!
I'm not completely stupid, so I'll be doped up on anti-inflammatories and I'll be wearing the brace I had to wear for a while after breaking my left ankle. (the 2nd time)
See y'all in the morning, top off and CB on channel 13.
I'll have to leave mid-afternoon to hit the family reunion, but I committed to this weekend long before the reunion got scheduled.
