Here are some pics from the morning run (link below) . Sorry, no pics from the afternoon run ...my camera person was holding the grab handles more often than the camera . Enjoy!!

Give me a small rundown of Rausch Creek. Your thoughts on the park??? Just curious as compared to a place like the Badlands. I have seen lots of pictures from that place and it looks cool. Rocks?Mud?Sand? Tell us more, Please!!!

Very nice pictures. Looks like the kids are going to be expert offroaders. What a great family activity for you all. I bet you didn't have to use the winch once with that new lift. The JK looks amazing, Manny!

No problem Derek . Rausch Creek is definitely a place to visit...even just once. The scenery alone is well worth the admission price.

Places to stay: I saw some people camping on-site, but didn't verify this. Hotels are available along the freeway and not too far from Rausch Creek. Overall, no problems with places to stay .

Trails: The green trails I went through were pretty standard, but a few were elevation trails having great views of the park property. Some Blues trail we went through were technical (ie...alot of 'pucker' factor) and thinking to myself 'WT Heck' I'm I doing here?!?...lol. I'm just kicking myself right now for not taking any pics while we were on the Blue trails . If you notice the East Coast JK Fest banner...It looks just like part of the Blue trail (not confirmed) we went through, very long with a by-pass if anyone needs. No Black trails to review . Overall, lots of rocks, and mud (not sure about sand) on different trails to play with ...well worth the one day run of a few Green, and Blue trails we went during the day [Spotter(s) and a good trail guide made it possible .]. If possible plan on more days to explore the park, East Coast JK Fest would be a good bet [you'll have a better chance of having spotters/trail guides available (ie...like our Badlands meet.)].

Trip to Rausch Creek was a blast with the kids , but the youngest did whine a few times (as with our Badlands trip).

No winching for me , but I did have to get winch out from a place called 'Frog Hole'...Spotter told me to go left and I went right (into the deepest part of the mud hole .) and the rest is winching history. Lets just say I love those floor plugs our JK's have .

Yes...I LOVE THE LIFT !!! Makes the JK so capable...should have done it (first on the list) ages ago .

Well that's it for now...Sorry, I for my long rant..lol.

thought I'd add.. with this park, I can recommend it all day long. I have been there 11 x now, know the place well. It is a great park for JK's of every mod level. And mscedro, Piratekitty (like 6" lift on 37's) got stuck in that hole on the 15th Its a big one.

I would say JK-fest is a great time to make it to the park and try it out.. there will be many groups of all different mod levels to hop into.
I went last year and still smile whenever I think about it. piginajeep and 4wd really know how to organize an event

Actually you did do 2 of the easier Black sections after lunch. The steep hills, trail 1c, where Rob also did the bowl was rated black and the little rock garden, off of trail 1a, we did is rated black.
