Wisconsin BS thread
I only took the freedom panels and front doors off yesterday. I don't have storage at work for the rest of the doors. If this weather keeps up, I might have to make the change to the soft top sooner than I was expecting!
So the wife and I are in the process of getting rid of her Grand Cherokee SRT8 for a 2008 JKU with 28k miles.
But were running into some trouble with getting rid of the GC. Someone made a clerical error way back in the vehicles life that makes the difference of about $4000. So if we cant get that cleared up we wont be getting the new jeep because that would be too much cost for us to eat ourselves. But if it does go through Brittany will be getting my current 2 door, the 35's, bumper and winch will be going onto the new JKU, the snorkel, hood lights and JKU stock bumper will be staying on the JK. Then the 33's I have just sitting in my garage will be going back on the 2 door. Needless to say, I want this to happen.

So when are we going wheeling? I've been itching to get on some trails since I moved back, but I haven't really found any places to go in WI. I know the Badlands is probably the closest place for some more serious fun, but I'd be fine with a pipeline or anything that's legal in WI, even a forestry road.
The only place I've found anything about is up near Lakeland, WI. It's 5 1/2 hrs away from Milwaukee in the North Western part of the state. So it'd probably be a safe bet to plan anything going up there for at least 2 days.
If you look for lakeland, WI pipeline on youtube you get a few videos, nothing spectacular though. It think it'd still be worth checking out though.
Another place I'll have to look into is the Chequamegon National forest which I've found some stuff referring to OHV's being allowed, but I'll have to call them and verify the specifics.

I know a couple of my engineers at work go for a week every summer to the national forest trails, but they use ATV's. They have told me there are some larger trails that they have seen Jeeps on. I am pretty much down for any kind of ride, but I am not too modded right now. Might need to do more to be able to do more!
I'll be out at Ft. McCoy near Sparta for pretty much all of June so I'll make sure to check out some spots over there.
And if you want some bigger tires for cheap I've got some 33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's sitting in my garage right now. Just sayin.
From what I've seen of the pipeline its nothing that a stock Jeep couldn't handle. And if you get stuck, as long as you have tow points I have the recovery gear.

wrapped around what look like 16" Cragar Black Steel D Window wheels (without the center cap)
4 of them have about 12,000 miles on them (if that) and have no big gouges in them
1 of them is brand new still.
the 4 would need to be balanced prior to being put on, which I would have done since I need my TPMS' out of them.
I'd be able to let them go for a very reasonable rate.
