Wisconsin BS thread
The only place I've found anything about is up near Lakeland, WI. It's 5 1/2 hrs away from Milwaukee in the North Western part of the state. So it'd probably be a safe bet to plan anything going up there for at least 2 days.
If you look for lakeland, WI pipeline on youtube you get a few videos, nothing spectacular though. It think it'd still be worth checking out though.
Another place I'll have to look into is the Chequamegon National forest which I've found some stuff referring to OHV's being allowed, but I'll have to call them and verify the specifics.

I think you meant the pipeline near Lakewood, WI. Check out the forest service Motorized Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for the Chequamegon National forest on this site: http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_...rdb5322895.pdf
The pipeline is 55552. A lot of these roads are seasonal and have restrictions. See the table on the left for the 2011 rules. On the north end is a nice rock climb and a couple play areas to the south. Just be careful in the mud holes, because large mud trucks dig them out pretty deep. They will eat small jeeps up....I've seen it.
Hey guys, I got a cabin 20 miles east of Eagle river. We are surrounded by Nicolett national forest and after talking to the DNR agents up there I have been told that as long as there is not a set of rocks or burm built up in front of any road, and you have a licenced vehicle, you can travel on any path/road in the forest. Up by us, powerlines are owned by the power company so many of those paths are trespassing. Just thought I'd add my two cents.
Well, I've got 5 305/70R16 (33 equivalent) Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's

wrapped around what look like 16" Cragar Black Steel D Window wheels (without the center cap)
R+BPU8Q,QZCw~~60_1.JPG?set_id=8800005007)
4 of them have about 12,000 miles on them (if that) and have no big gouges in them
1 of them is brand new still.
the 4 would need to be balanced prior to being put on, which I would have done since I need my TPMS' out of them.
I'd be able to let them go for a very reasonable rate.

Memorial day weekend a group of us (from WI4x4) are going to Northwoods Overland near Rib Lake,WI. All are welcome! Sounds like this will be the only weekend it's open this year....
I e-mailed them, and the cost of insurance is too high, this week-end may be the only week-end they will be open.
