Hey guys and gals!

Glad i ran across this thread! My name is Andrew and i'm just now finishing my build up, 2010 JKU rubicon with a mixture or teraflex trackbars, brackets, links and speedbumps, fox shocks, and synergy coils! 3" total lift with 35" trail grapplers... i would love to get together with everyone for a meet and great or wheeling somewhere (if there is any place to do it!). Im currently a college student in Ohio so wheeling isn't a problem there, its a 2 hour drive to the badlands ! anyway glad to meet you all! hope we can get something going before the holidays end!

Welcome to the thread Andrew. Your build looks awesome!
We try to have a Meet n Greet once a month. We had one this past Dec 15th but nothing on the books for Jan yet.
I also hope to make several trips to the Badlands this coming year.

Welcome! I used to live in Indiana and the Badlands is a familiar place. Hope you can make it to some meets and also meet up at the Badlands.

I've been looking around the internet for CB's, and wanted to get your opinions on them.
Do most of you use one and recommend getting one for offroading?
What CB would any of you recommend getting? I guess that would apply to any accessories I would, like an antenna etc.

I would suggest talking to a great guy...Doug in Manitowoc. I will PM you info incase I'm not supposta post it here.

It also depends on how much you are going to use it, that depends on how much you will spend. I have a HHRoadtrip with magnet antenna. It was a great starter, but I can't always hear everything and it is big. I'm upgrading in the spring and having Doug help.

With that said, most people run a firestick 4 with quick disconnect. Cobra 75 or the Midland (I know the Midland has a inside mount and handheld that you can carry if you are out of the jeep) https://midlandusa.com/cb-radios/products/two-in-one/

Here is a write up on mounting and I think Ryan did this set up or similar.

I did do the cobra setup. I really like it. It was super easy to install. If you have any questions, let me know and I can try to answer them for you.
