*edit... apparently most states don't require you to register anything
Most guns go through NICS. They're registered to the buyer one way or another

Not if you buy it face to face from another legal owner.

Here nothing needs to be registered if you buy it from another law abiding citizen of this state. Purchasing from a store only requires the FBI background check.

Yes. But the majority are purchased at shops. That obviously require NICS. The point is, there's already a registry of sorts through NICS. And there sure as hell is for those of us with class3/NFA weapons

Very true.

I hope to join that club soon(ish). I want a silencer or three BAD.

At any rate...if the BATF is trolling forums on the internet for lists of gun owners and what they have then we're already screwed.

He's also vastly over estimating their intelligence.

NICS checks utilize name and address, among other things. That informatinon can be pulled up by LE later, if needed. It's not called a registration, but in effect, it is.

If everyone was like you and me, private sales would be fine. However, I've had to deny many potential sellers because they were clearly shady and even had fake state IDs. I'm not in the popular group, but I have no problem with subjecting all firearm purchases to NICS.

Back on topic, as this is a picture thread and not a political debate thread.
