The SRS is awesome. It will make you want to ditch Aimpoints. I have owned a comp M3 and a T-1, and have been issued the Comp M2 and M4's. The SRS has an amazing field of view. You can access the controls easily with your non firing hand. The battery life is the same as the Comp M-4 but it also has a solar cell on the top. Mounts Plus has a 15% off sale for anyone interested in picking one of these up.

Also if any of you guys are military or LEO and wanna pick up a scar at a good price, in stock, with fast shipping call Chris Hogue at Orion Arms. He hooked me up and has a few black 16S's in stock for us.

Ditch Aimpoints?! Blasphemy! (Swedish accent)

Good to hear, I've been saving for an SU-230...tempting me with the SRS isn't helping. I'll have to check one out...unfortunately I don't think this will be compatible with my 3xs (Aimpoint).

Make sure you try out the Elcan before buying. I personally cant stand them. The BDC horizontal lines are way too hard to see for me, even just under prone sustained fire. Rapid engagements--forget it. I always pulled the specter I was issued on SAWs off immediately. For the same price you could get an SRS and an Acog.

I've heard a lot of that. I'm gonna borrow one to run through some advanced carbine, and maybe a shoothouse, later this year. Thanks for the headsup/user feedback though! Saves me $1800.

Took the SOPMODs, recce, and SBR to the field yesterday for some drills/course prep, and some action on steel from 2-400yds.
