Tycho, what are the limitations on that type of rifle down there? I see the funky buttstock/pistol grip setup.

Need a separate endorsement for a free standing pistol grip, flash suppressor or mag with over 7 rounds. Any one of these in a semi auto classes it as a Military Style Semi Auto MSSA hence the large thumb hole stock . Silencers OK How else you gonna shoot the varmints without upsetting the sheep? . No full auto here. Pistols very difficult also and can only be used at an approved pistol range.

This thread should be renamed, "Modern Musket" rifle pictures". Labeling them "assault rifles" just perpetuates their hysteria and their myth.

Interesting that you can have a silencer but not a flash hider.

Still, here a silencer is expensive and regulated.

I visited Christchurch about 12 years ago and never thought to look up a gun store.

IDK about "Modern Musket" but I do agree with the point you're making.
