I like your choices in parts. Whats the deal with the Vegas Photo? Is it to show that Nevada has nice gun laws?

Thanx for the complement. I lurked ar15 dot com and researched what was "good" and what was not. Came in just under $1,000. Nice and light 7.5#'s and very little kit. My pellet rifle has more kit. Now I just need to get an EOTECH.

One thing I do want to change. Grind down the corners of railed gas block and get a longer handgaurd that covers it.

I'm also a member of Opencarry.org. We have meet ups and I wanted to get my pic with my rifle in front of the sign.

We took this pic about a year earlier.

Plus I like the lack of gun laws in the great state of Nevada.

Cool

Can an AK guy show off?

Egyptian Maadi AKM from the ban era. Had it since 1994. I love it, just goes bang every time I pull the trigger and is more accurate than I am. Came neutered with a thumbhole stock/pistol grip, milled off bayonet lug, milled off muzzle threads and no flash hider, and no optics rail.

Since 2004 it's gotten an OD green NATO length K-VAR poly furniture set, a TAPCO G2 trigger (smoooooooth), and shot a lot.
Looking at putting a new gas block with a bayonet lug on it, threading the muzzle, an AKM style muzzle break, and probably a Tech Sights rear sight setup. Maybe some kind of rail and an optic.

I love FN SCARS but they are way to much for me to afford. If only they were more affordable I would own one in a heartbeat. Are they really worth the $2600 price tag?

My only complaint (besides price) with the ACR is the reciprocating charging handle.
