But he went about it all wrong. 1st before he even went to draw his weapon he should of created distance by pushing off with his left hand an taking 2 steps back while drawing with his right hand. He never tried to create any distance also he looked down at his weapon instead of keeping his eye on the target. This guy was not trained properly.

I hate it for him. I would have been WAY too embarrassed to put that up for people to see. Most people don't realize how easy it is for these types of things to happen. I've seen negligent discharges and its a scary thing.

A number of years ago I had to take the Hunter Safety Class again so I could get a CO. non resident license...(I had taken it as a kid but they didn't have records that far back....lol) Anyway, while in class the instructor, a highly trained firearms instructor, told us that he was doing a different class some years back, and as he was teaching the class he blew a hole in the wall by accident with his pistol. Said he just forgot to check if the gun was loaded. So if it can happen to these "highly trained" individuals, I guess it could happen to anybody....

So far I have only had one "accidental" discharge, if you want to call it that. It was with my big bore rifle. I actually planned to fire it, but I had had some work done on the trigger, and as I was pulling the gun up to shoot I put a little too much pressure on the trigger and it went off before I was actually on target.

The more technical you make things the more accident will happen keep it simple don't need a holster like that !

Looks like he will be OK.

I liked this response from one of the viewers:

"For shooting yourself point blank in the leg you took it like a champ, hell if I didn't know any better I'd say you'd been shooting yourself your whole life."
