Rifle scope?

There are lots of good scopes out there but you can't cheap out. This is a scenario where you get what you pay for. A .338 round has some punch to it so you'll need a solid, well built scope and rings. while more on the expensive side, I run Zeiss on my rifles. The 3-9X40 as mentioned here here is plenty. If you had a higher end rifle with match barrel then I'd say go with a higher magnification. A .338 has a great range and has a strong impact velocity. The high-end Leupolds are fine. Nikons have improved but just not quite there yet. But if I were you I'd take my rifle to your gun store and test a few out. If they frown upon that go somewhere else. Cabelas is great with that but Bass Pro not so much. Better yet to find a high-end gun dealer/store. These places have the real staff that know what they're talking about.
