Default Springfield XDM .40 (or) Taurus OSS .40
I am looking to get one of these two pistols. And I need help picking one of these. The Springfield is a great gun that I have shot, the Taurus I have not shot but I have heard good things. Thoughts anyone?

Springfield.....around $650



Taurus......around $400

I have only hear good things about the XD's and the Taurus' are some what hit or miss. I would go with the XD. JMO.

I've never heard bad things about either of these but I would definitely go with the XDM. Taurus makes good guns now but XDs are virtually indestructable. Do a google search on "Springfield XD 20000 round test".

I have the XD .45 and love it. I would recommend the springfield to anyone.

GO XDM - Great gun. I have it in 9mm. Shot the .40 extensively before I purchased - ~500 rounds.

Springfield by far, And thats coming from a guy that carrys a Glock 23 40 cal. daily. And I love my Glock

The Taurus would make a great doorstop.

I've got an XD .45 and love it. I was thinking about getting the XDM 9mm just because of the capacity.
