Default body leaning

hey i just got done putting a 3'' lift on my 78' cj-7, before i lifted it, the stock leafs were shot and the whole jeep sagged and leaned towar the drivers side. but after putting the lift and tires on i still notice a little bit of a lean to it. does anybody know why this is, and if there are any ways to correct it?

If your leafs were shot before and they haven't been changed out then the problem remains.

New springs are not all that expensive. I'd bet a heavy guy drove the Jeep which is why it leans to the drivers side. Maybe its just the body bushings?

Take a look at everything, even the shocks.

are you sure the rear springs are in on the correct side. I know on YJs and TJs the torque of the drive train rocks the body to the passenger side so the YJ and TJ lifts often had a stiffer spring rate on the passenger side rear. Its usually easy to tell on the YJ as there are more leaves in the spring. I know you drive a CJ but it would be the same thing. If if its leaning to the driver side, and the passenger side has more leaves in the spring, chances are you just need to let it settle a bit and it should level out. Good luck, i hope that helps.

I too had the very same problem! 85 cj7, replaced whole springs and problem continued. Took to a car frame specialist friend of mine and he mentined that this is very common for cj's. He said it was wear on frame from stress.
