Default my 54 willys wagon

This is my 1954 willy overlander wagon. I bought it of a friend. He buys, sells and scapes cars. This willys was with a bunch of trucks he got off a farm. He was told that it ran. I bought it, put a battery in and pored some fuel down the carb, it fired up
It has a 283 chev motor, hooker fender well headers, 400 trannie, spicer transfer case, original diffs and a home made 4" lift (?).
I put a new battery, carb, seats out of a Yukon, s10 fuel tank, ford wheels and 33" boggers on it . It runs great! The drive train is a bit week. It has an off road only plate on it. I have plans to build it up. Biggest question is, do I build it for street ? Or build it for mud? Click image for larger version

That is awesome! It looks great like it sits. You can't make that (look) up.

I say "street" as the Willys is unique, Mud will tear it up. Don't Destroy, Enjoy. You can cob up so many unremarkable vehicles for Mud, save this one..

Thanks for the support, I think I'll work on it and when the tires wear down I'll swap them for 35 - 37" s. That way it I can still enjoy it on the street. It sure would look good with 49"s under it.

I'm so damn Jealous. I love older vehicles particularly Jeeps. If someone said I'd trade this old willys for your JK, I'd guarantee the JK would be gone before the words came out of his mouth.

Dude, looking at your avatar and then your location, you are truly behind enemy lines, give ya the horns up for bravery!

Now, back to that badass looking willys. I say keep it streetable, maybe even build on the yellow and make it the school bus that could drive you through hell and back.
