Default project dj5 so many guestions please help

so i have lots of questions on this build, its a 79 dj5

ive done lots of work to restore it and now the fun begins but i need some brain power from you,

how tall of a lift could i go without haveing to buy new drive lines my plan was to fab some longer shackels. how big could i go by just using longer shackels? are there any other brackets i may need to make? (brake lines, steering components???????????)

any help would be great

i would say you would start running into drive line problems anythin over 2 inches with the rear drive shaft, Well if I remember correctly the cj5 family was known for rolling due to the narrow wheel base and people driving like idiots, so I wouldn't go to high anyhow. a 31or 33 spread over a good deep dish 10 inch wide rim has always been my taste.

after some very quick research... i dint see any lift kit under 3 inches with wedges to correct drive angles for the rear, track bars, or brake line ext.

How about doing this to it? Scroll down close to the bottom and look at the red one on the left side.

you could go yj springs and 32s, not mine, i stole it, just for an idea though.

as for tire fitment why not reradius the fenderwell and match it to the sliding door

that was my plan between a lift and skinny tires it wont be much im taking off the bottem of the door then in the door frame ill just make a step up to fill the gap,

or

ill rip the doors off and mount some tj half doors with softop windows and then cit my fender as big as i need to, i will miss haveing those sliders but im surprised they still work with the hell i have put them threw allready
