Default Replacing cj5 turning lamp bulb

Was trying to replace it today and unscrewed the assembly thinking the bulb would be there to pop out and replace but no go. Do I need to take off the shield and how do I get it off? Thanks

The three (front) or four (rear) screws should have been the only screws you had to remove to pop the lens off and give you access to the bulb?

Unless they're aftermarket lights?

They must be aftermarket because there are only 2 bolts that hold the light assembly together....I guess I'll take another look today.

Some of the older ones just used a snap ring, I use a Ice pick or a circuit test light to pop em out on the Jeepster.

ETA Im assuming you mean the front bulbs.
