Default Rubi brings Grampa CJ2A home

Been looking for at it for a while and finally brought a 1948 Willys CJ2A home today. Needs a lot of work but it seems fairly original, solid and complete. Already has a 12V conversion (sorta). Gonna get it street legal first, drive it around then maybe a restoration or upgrades. Long term project.

Really nice! That will be a fun project!

You going to paint it to match?? I didn't but I like the way they look together anyway since both of mine are green. (OD on the MB and Rescue Green on the Sahara.

Default Someday

After I retire and settle down, I plan on getting one of those. Restore it to military specs. Drive around town yelling at all the young kids. Be "that crazy old guy" in the sweet Jeep.

Thats what I would like to do, too! I love the size difference between the two. Good purchase!

Thats a nice 2a! I would love to have it the way it looks, and just cruise it around.

Holy Hell! You even have the hardware. That is awesome. Only thing missing, which I bet you have, is the .45 1911. Outstanding!

Yeah, I've got the 1911. And the m1897 trench gun, M1903, and M1903a3. I've been collecting WWII stuff for 25 years now. I have a VERY understanding wife, and a bone stock 07 unlimited! Keep spending all my money on guns and ammo....

Drew, If you need ANY help with the restoration, drop me a line. I know some guys who can always come up with the hard to find parts!
