Default Back in the Jeep game with a TJ, couple questions

Well, I'm glad to announce I am back in a Jeep! I had to sell my lifted '08 JK due to divorce. I am in Arizona for a few months and came across a mint '06 Rubicon with only 25K! Couldn't pass it up, so it is mine. Plans will include 3" lift, 33's, bumpers, winch, etc. Basically set it up like my JK was. I had a '93 YJ I bought new and did all the lift things to it. This is my first TJ. I consider myself to be pretty well versed in 4wd's, but do have a couple of question's though. I plan on using the stock wheels, any advice on sheel spacers with the 33's? I am thinking 1" - 1.25". Anybody have an opinion on best 3" lift out there? I am leaning towards Terraflex, that's what I put on my JK and I liked it a lot. Any issues specific to the TJ with the lift/wheel/tire combo I plan? From what I understand, it's pretty standard type lift, probably same issues as any other lift. Thanks in advance for advice!

go ahead and do a 4 in. lift my buddy just put a superlift 4 in.with bilstein shocks on his 05 TJ. He runs 33x12.5" toyo AT's and it looks great. He could definitely fit 35's but with the 33's theres alot of room to flex. I dont know about the "quality" of superlift but ive seen two TJ's now that have the superlift 4" and 33's off road and both perform great.

also a 4in lift and 33's on a TJ is about the same height as a JK with a 2.5" coil spacer lift and 33's (which is what I run, my JK is actually a tad taller than this TJ)

The problem with the TJ's with anything over 3" a full list of parts will be needed...SYE, drive shafts, full set of control arms, trackbars...etc

A lot of people in the TJ world go with OME, just like the JK's. I had a 06 Rubi on a 4" Fabtech, I hated that lift! If you have a Rubi...my opinion is OME, 1.25 BL, 1" MML with a Rokmen UpArmor package & disco's or swaybar system! Just that setup is all you need & been VERY well capable of anything & can run 33's! If you want to run bigger tires go with tube fenders.. Call Northridge, DPG Off Road has some nice packages or so does www.rokmen.com
