My 02 TJ X

Engine: 4.0 I6, True Flow filter, Champion truck plugs, Flex-a-lite E fan, all metal radiator

Trans: 32RH 3 speed auto, Rubicon Express Deep trans pan, full synthetic

Tcase: stock NP231

Axles: dana 30 front open carrier with alloy usa U joints, Rock crusher diff guard, Timkin front hub bearings. Dana 35 rear open carrier stock. (spare shafts in the garage)

Steering: Stock pump/box, have a HOWE racing box sitting in the garage ready for install one year, Currie steering box brace, big daddy tie rod

Suspension: Rubicon Express 3.5 superflex, RE trac bar, Kartek 15" limiting straps up front, RE gen2 quick discos, RE twin tube shocks.

Tires/Rims: 15inch black steelies wrapped in 33x12.50 Interco trxus MTs
Lighting: Silverstars, IPF 100w windshield lights, KC 100w bumper lights, 2 55w rock lights.

Armor: Currie steering box skid,

Bumpers: LOD extreme rear bumper/tire carrier

Electronics: cobra CB radio, autometer water temp gauge,

Recovery gear: Hi lift. fold away military shovel, 50' 4 ply military strap rated at 50k lbs, stock bumper hooks up front, lod shackles out back.


Best Mod: RE 3.5 superflex suspension

Worst Mod: trying to use 2 cheap E fans off ebay before buying a flexalite

 

Bone stock. Since this picture it's been de-stickered and Safari Topped. Next week it should be de-doored. Hopefully by Jeep Beach it'll be re-shoed with some MT's.

Best mod? Not too many yet, but the de-sticker looks great! I'm also liking the home made fishing pole holder.

I think I'm leaning towards Baja Claws but I'm having a tough time finding reviews of how they perform in snow.

Any Inputs on which tires you recommend????

hey thnx for the pics of that. that looks like a really slick set up. i mite try and copy u. as for u mrbash im running a set of BFG all terrains on the street and a set of Baja claws off road. if your looking for just street that go BFG all terrains. Off road u cant go wrong with the claws or the bfg mudders. i had a set of bfg mudders first. id say they are about the same overall. in snow the claws are just about the same as in mud. they are best in sand. were i live its all rock and snow with a lil mud and sand. but yea the BFG mudders and the BAJA CLAWS beat any of those other tires in snow

 

Thanx for the input Cargo. My TJ is my offroader, I've got a gas saver as my daily driver. I have decided to go all out and get the Claws if my budget allows. They are just way to mean looking to pass up and I have read some pretty good reviews tonight about them. If it gets way out of budget, becaus I need 5 of them I might purchase some used 33's from craigslist or something until I can afford the Claws. Not sure yet but rest assure the pictures wil be posted next week...hopefully!

This anticipation is kiling me. I can't wait

 

sweet man that X is gonna look good. your on the right track with that RE 3.5 kit. i love mine, rides way better then stock and flex's great. let me know when it comes in and if you need help on the install. ive also had zero problems with the kit. and you know i wheel the hell out of it.

it would take one full day for the install. and i would recommend staying away form mud in the mean time. as far as tires the AZ guys love those sticky thomsons. they are a directional tread pattern so they have a good bite especially when run backwards. The BFG muds dont fare to well in snow from what i have personally seen. the BFG ATs on the other hand do really well inthe snow. The good year mtrs dont do well in the snow either. My Interco trxus MT do pretty good everywere ive been so far. Im def buying another set. i just wish they would balance better.

Aside from directionals, Good tires in rocks and snow will have good siping especially aired down.

Hey FL lawdog, have you tried using elastic velcro straps for around your sound bar??? i have some on my van Ill try it on my jeep and it they are a snug fit ill send them to you if you like.

 

Mrbash im getting ready to get a new set of claws. i think the best place to get em is jcwhitney. you can get a set of 31s with wheels for like $850. not sure on 33s cuz i like the fender clearance my 31s give. but yea they are kinda cheap there
