Default First Post-Help! JK Rubicon Wheels on a TJ?

Morning everyone, first post on the JK-Forum but have been reading for quite some time, your help and comments are extremely helpful to me! Thanks for being there.

Now to my question, Can these 2008 JK Rubicon Wheels fit on my wifes 2006 TJ? I am planning on a small lift but I am concern with stud sapcing and backspacing. Any issues? Thanks in advance for your assistance

If I remember correctly, the bolt pattern changed after 2006.

I just sold my stock 17's ( Rubi takeoffs) to a 2004 TJ and it needed an adapter. Your Rubi should be 5x5 and I'm guessing the TJ is 5x4.5 just like the 04.

Are adapters safe? Does spidertrax make a adapter/spacer? I would assume since she is also going from a 29 inch to a 32 inch tire I am going to need the spacer as well? I am a fan of their spacers just not familiar with the adapters.

Exactly. Bolt patterns are different 5x4.5 (TJ) and 5x5.0 (JK). Wheel spacers will solve the problem and move your tires out 3" total on each axle.

Easy to do!

Oh a 32" tire will require at least 2" of lift, but probably 3" on a TJ.

Stock they will rub, especially with a wheel spacer.

The tire size should not be an issue ( not much difference). The stock tires on Rubi are 32 . What size tire is she going 255 ?

Also, adapter is for lug pattern and the back spacing should be the same or very close.

The 04 TJ I sold my tires to didn't require a lift, just adapter. I would reference a tire chart just to be on the safe side...
