Default Fuel Milage

I was wondering what kind of fuel milage you folks with TJ's are getting.
My stock '06 Unlimited Rubi with a six speed trany, is rated at 17mpg in the city(EDIT: 15 mpg city not 17) and 19mpg on the highway, but it seems like no matter how I drive it, I stay at a fairly steady average of 11mpg which totally sucks.

I want to bring it to the dealer, but I want to see what you guys have to say first.

My TJ and LJ both averaged around 15 in the city at the best. Highway would push it down to 12 easy.

I love it, I was initially nervous as I didn't research it very much before buying.

Me being me I started looking on here and other forums and then heard about some of their problems, I have had mine since last November and can say other than getting my computer flashed (which seemed to increase gas mileage slightly) and a slight whistling noise on the freedom top which I will take to the dealer in the spring to get the TSB done, I have had no complaints what so ever.

I have never owned a Jeep before so can't compare it, but it rides extremely well. I am getting better gas mileage from the Jeep than my 92 Ford Ranger which is what the Jeep replaced.

How did you guys go from TJ gas mileage to your JK's? And whats a kilo? Are you guys drug runners?

Chopper, my son got 16-17 out of his first two tankfulls and has gotten 10 ever since. That is because he is now driving to school and back only 2 miles each way (not sure how many kilos that is 3.??) which is hilly, stop/start, wait in line, etc. Hopefully when he starts driving farther distances again it will go back up.

Hope that helps.

I had a yk until just last dec. I drive 110 miles a day on the interstate. When I did what I was supposed to do I could expect 18 to 20 mpg regularly. Far less in town. I only mention this because I had the same I6 engine as you tj guys have.
