Let's see your TJ
mine was a 98 and it had a 5 speed if I recall correctly.
edit:yours was regeared. Im sure that one would have done faster if it was regeared. I'm saying from the factory, it sucks not being able to run 70

I don't have any issues having the 2.4l w/ 6 speed, I'm running 31's and have never had any issues with power. Now when I go up to 33's, maybe I'll start having power issues.
Well this 3.8 is about the same, nothing special, OK all around with 31's...then came the 33's and now...just OK around town but the hiway is a painful experience
Rolled her 6 times off a bridge into a creek and landed up side down. All because a piece of the road washed out from rain. My buddy and I were stuck in it upside down. We got out fine though after wrestling with the seat belts. We were pretty much ok. Just a few scratches. Gotta love that jeep engineering

Did we learn anything about driving on roads covered with water? I learned my lesson watching someone else. Lived in Greenville, NC when Hurricane Floyd hit and flooded the entire eastern half of NC. I saw a huge Army convoy truck with Red Cross supplies and soldiers in the back driving along in water about 3/4 the way up the tire. The storm had been past about 2 days and the water was moving slow in this area. They had been through several times already delivering supplies to folks stranded on the other side of the river. This time it nosed in and disappeared under the water. Good thing they teach those Army guys to swim as well as fight. They found the truck a week later about a 1/4 mile down stream. I vowed to never drive in deep water. The bottom may not be there when you arrive.
