Stock 2006 Rubicon.
K&N Cold air intake is the only mod so far, bumped gas milage up a bit.

It has the in-line 6 cyc, a 6 speed manual, stock front & rear lockers and...
A/C! The A/C is awsome in the high desert when it's 105 degrees outside.

But I'm interested in larger wheel's. I start out in 2'nd gear 'cause 1'st is too low (unless I'm pulling the trailer). What size would you guy's recomend I try. The idea is to make this daily driver as afordable as possible.

the stock rubicon comes with 31's.... i belive so. Your diif gears are 4.10's so the best tires wouldbe 33" tires, but you're going to have to lift it. A 3.5" rubicon express will clear the 33"s just right.

Nice Jeep.

2003 Jeep TJ..... WORST MOD: The 6 inch Sky jacker Rock Ready lift.

FAVORITE MOD: XRC Winch and 35x12.5x 15 pro-comp X terrains on 15X10 MT DC 2 rims.

***I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER SKY JACKER PRODUCT AGAIN....EVER. THEY ARE GARBAGE, GARBAGE, GARBAGE and more GARBAGE. CRAPY customer service. Crappy Warranty.
This was a $3000.00+ long arm suspension. ROAD LIKE CRAP. FELL APART. All the brakets broke at the welds. The Heim Joints rusted together even though I greased them by hand since there was no grease fitting. DANGEROUS how cheap that lift is. ALSO the red Paint flaked off with in a few months. This jeep only had 30K miles on it when I took these pics, Then I sold it about a week later. The paint looks nice on the Lift because I repainted 3 times.

*****The sad thing is I only drove it on the street. I had no slip yoke, Drive shafts or gears so I could not go Wheeling. The kit fell apart so bad that I decised not to install the Dana 44 or gears. I decided to move on I got beter performance out of my $400. Super lift basic 4inch kit on my 1998. Its sad, I thought sky jacker was saposed to be high end.... OH WELL!!!!!

If you're not looking for too much, I'd go with a 2-3" spacer/budget lift with some 33"s.

Jeep

motor: 4.0 w/ cold air aem intake.

lift: 3 inch rancho lift.

recovery: warn winch 8000lb oh #$%^ tow handles for the front.

tires: 38.5 super swamp boggers.

safety: Extra roll bars w/ padding.

fun: cb with 4 foot firestick.

best thing: the tires. I can take a dead stop in a bog then jump out with no problem.

worst thing: the tires say goodbye to stock transmission gears ect.
