Proper back space for 33/35s on a TJ Rubicon--help!
I just bought an 06 Rubicon so technically I am now 4X4X4!
It has some kind of wheel arrangement with a nice looking (but wrong back space) steel wheel with pretend bead locks and a 3 plus inch spacer. The Jeep has DC Crusher 35X10.50X15 tires. I may consider in the future going down to a 33 size range plus or minus a bit. The 35s just seem honk'n huge compare to the rubber on my little JK.
Please, for an aluminum wheel with a 33 to 35 inch tire, something like a Mickey Thompson or similar quality wheel, and NO SPACERS! what would be the proper back space that most of you guys run. This Rubicon has a RC approximate 4 inch lift, 6 inch pocket flares and currently no body lift. The tires and wheels stick way out and I do not want the spacers (of any kind for any reason).
Please suggest also should I go 15X8 or 15X10 for this tire size range (32 to 35)? I know the Rubicon 06 came with 16 but it now has the steel 15s. Stay with 15s or go back to a 16? I am thinking in the future something like a 33 inch BFG MT instead of the DC 35X10.5X15.
Thank you in advance for the help.
