If you bust an axle joint, there's a quick and cheap fix you can do to patch things.

I knew it before I even watched it. Whoever writes these things for JKforum is a f**king idiot. That's a TJ. The stubshaft is required to keep preload on the wheelbearing. On a JK, all you need to do is pull the shaft and plug the tube. Go home editor, you're drunk.

 

I know... If I hear one more person say that you need to keep the stub shaft in on a JK I'm going to implode. It's like a weekly occurrence in my local clubs.

No doubt.. Crazy how many times people have tried to argue this with me...

Also, if you are going to install the rubber plug, you better clean out the axle tube. The tubes may be full of rust, pebbles, sand, etc.

So what are the chances we could install the JK hub into a TJ. Brakes would need to be addressed but if we're talking about getting off of the trail- is it possible?

Yep, true. I've got a JK and TJ with a few extra parts here and there so interchangeable parts would be a bonus.

In a perfect world, I'd be running the spyntec hubs on both jeeps so I could swap wheels all over.
