looks like the shop made some good progress today.

Rockers are installed (test fitted) and will be coming off to get the Jeep ready for paint. all I can say is WOW.. those things are really really nice!! great job Kelby

PSC is all done minus one fitting I think that needs to be ordered! bumpers are off and they will be taking the Hood and tailgate to the body shop to have them start on that.

as things are progressing right now it looks like it will be sent to paint on Friday

also I'm not doing that Charcoal gray anymore!

I'm doing a color called "Grigio Telesto" found on Lamborghinis

and here is what it looks like

everything is going really really fast from here and hopefully the paint shop does a great job with the time and deadline I gave them.

might be heading down to MOAB tomorrow or early friday for the show so more soon

AWW thanks man

sorry I haven't posted any pics.. was in Moab and distracted by all the amazing rigs out there

Here are some old pics I took. Savvy lights before I had them moved back out

I wanted it to have that Jeep look. some might like it this way

here are some other old ones

tailgate hinges already sandblasted/powder coated (those are off the TJ model 97 -02 models) they had those aluminum hinges.. I hate the plastic that was on it from the factory. of course they will come off so the bolts are there just for the time being.

Rack

Modified factory box

I can't stop looking at those. I love how they are designed to support an aftermarket body kit. that's really cool! great job Kilby

Jeep is in the paint shop and they need me to come down on Monday to walk through what needs to be done. hopefully they will have it done no latter than May 4th and then it goes back to the shop for final assembly. also all the parts are at sandblast and should have those early this coming week! and then they go to powder coat

That's all I have for today!

Thanks

Default Looking Great

You know I think what I find the most impressive about this LJ, you purchased a used LJ in good condition and then had a goal of what you wanted to accomplish in building and used a plan to acheive it. It is apparent you have had some indepth experience with offroading, because your rig is purpose built, not just a bunch of parts from a magazine or catalog thrown on to a body and frame. Anyone can throw money at a vehicle, but it is the final product that counts. Give ten guys the same vehicle, same amount of budget to spend on it and you will be lucky to get 3, really probably 1 or 2, vehicles that turn out decent (that is having looks and performance) all the other will look like hack jobs. Congratulations brother, you got it right
