Default M416 - 1967 Stevens 1/4 ton Millitary Trailer Rebuild

After looking for a while I picked up a very structurally sound 1967 Stevens M416 Trailer for $700 bucks! I plan on refinishing the entire trailer from axle on up, to include cover and RT tent. These first pics are as I picked it up. Today I took off the fenders, and disconnectied the tub, and brake handle. Tub is going to the sandblaster.
Will keep you posted on the progress!

Love it! Can you tell me what size axle length, whether u did electric brakes, and where did you get the axle from?

I plan in adding 35" tires to match the jeep with the spring over. Any info you could provide on the axle, shock, spring leafs would be great.

Black looks great mine will be the same color. What paint did you use?

Thanks.

Bill

only pic i have right now is from right after i picked it up, i found a set of 35/12.50/18 general grabbers to go on the factory 18" jk wheels i also bought from the same guy so the jeep and trailer will have some what the same tires as the jeep, (jeep has 35/12.50/17's) this pic was actually taken at the tire shop getting the new tires mounted on the wheels, going to do a SOA conversion and throw some adapters on it to get the track width to match the jeep
