I have it mounted on the tire carrier, but thinking of moving it.. So what's the best place to mount it?? And with what bracket??

I like this bracket mounted to the tub by the tail light. CATALOG Main Page (Frame Setup) , best place is a lip mount in front on the hood halfway between the front and the windshield, but that is where my HAM antenna will go. that link does not work correctly always take you to the main page. try this one http://www.rightchannelradios.com/fi...tenna-kit.html I would mount it higher up than that picture. As stated body, tire, carrier reflect the signal back into the antenna which not only limits its travel in that direction but interferes with the signal going in other directions.

Yeah, I've seen that setup before, it looks clean.. At my Current mounting point (on tailgate) me 4ft firestick sticks out 2ft above the tire and top.. My question is wont it be lower with the tub bracket? Less antenna sticking out, less reception??

Move the mount above and to the outside of the light not where they have it and then you should not lose any height and gain in signal and a better ground plane.

Yup yup that's the one I want to get I just want to know if anyone has it has installed it and how stable it is.

Oh ok.. I wonder how it looks like.. Anyone have it installed in that spot?
