I got the kit with the radio and all from Cooltech, had to call to get the gatemount in the kit but it worked out great. especially since I added a Rancho rear bumper so I dumped the stock tire carrier.

not sure on the antennae questions, but the GateMount is what I have - it's great.

I went to a truck stop and got a basic mount kit, then drilled a hole in my spare tire carrier where it shoots upwards for the third brake light.

It works fine and was real cheap.
