Ouch!!!

They retail for $120 bucks now.

Consider taking it out of your mod-fund as it's now a necessity!

Where did you buy it? You should be able to take it back. When I was buying some earphones for my Ipod they(Best Buy) told me I had 30 days to bring 'em back if I didn't like the way they felt/fit. I did end up returning one set...no problem.

One of the parrot kits mentioned in the beginning of this thread looks like the way to go. It hooks into the back of the head unit. When a call comes in it switches the sound to your speakers making it easier to hear also. The mic mounts up by the dash somewhere.

If it is a piece of shit - hell yeah.

After what you describe, I would be making them take it back.
Bring it with the box If possiblle (messed up as it may be) --->your receipt.
...Ever so kindly let them know in fact that it isn't suitable and the product is NOT what you were told it was.

They will refund you.

They dont care. Just take it back. Say it hurts your ear and doesn't work well in your vehicle. Knock off all the earwax chunks first!

I have a wired earpiece, seems to work okay with the top down, I do have element doors though...not exactly doors OFF but pretty close. I actually have been leaving it clipped to my seatbelt....seems everyone is sooooo caught up in the bluetooth hype they forgot about wires. I have a Garmin with bluetooth and it works okay with the doors and top on....off I think wired is the way to go...try it, they're cheap reliable and in my limited experience work well.

i have this. it's not bad for what i paid for it. sometimes there are issues w/the mic / delay, but like w/any phone it works better w/the windows up! i haven't tried it out top down yet tho.

I tried it with the top and doors off. The person on the other end couldn't hear a thing but static and yelled "Whoever this is, call back".
