Looks like the short list and it should work just fine. Reason you're not getting any replies is because this is pretty much EXACTLY the same setup about 30% of the people on here run for a CB.
bought a hook at a local truck stop for about $2 that lets me hang it from the
footman loop at the top-center of the windshield. Toad (JK-Forum moderator)
offers a nice plate that mounts to the side of your radio.
As for the antenna mounting: I followed TORN's lead and made my own out of
an $8 piece of 1" wide, 1/8" thick stock iron (pick up at any hardware store).
Just put a 90 degree bend in it, then drill a 1/2" hole to accept the
feedthrough antenna mount (which you'll need to also buy), and a couple
smaller holes to attach it to the spare tire rack. It looks like this installed:

Finally, depending on what you must do to route the cabling, you may end up
cutting off one of the connectors. In that case, buy a new connector--I
recommend solder on connectors vice solderless. But, you should use a
soldering IRON for the center connector, and a soldering GUN for the ground.
how much work is required when installing a new cb...ill be ordering mine this evening most likely. with the set up i posted before.
is it pretty much plug and go stuff?
anything u can tell me as someone new to cbs would be appreciated. thanks.

Also, I have 27-1/2 years of aircraft radio maintenance experience--but that didn't mean that I didn't appreciate the help I received from TORN. I drove to his home an hour-and-a-half away because having someone help that has already figured out which panels to remove, where to run wires, etc, can make things go much more smoothly and quickly. So, once you get ready for the install, consider finding someone in your local area that might be willing to give you a hand.
