Default CB antenna differences?

Will a person get better reception with a 4' firestikII that is 900W rated vs a 3' firefly that is 100W rated if using a uniden 520XL? this is assuming both are properly tuned. thanks.

Yes. The longer the antenna the better the performance. The wattage rating means nothing if you are using legal equipment....type regulated CB output at 4 watts.

thanks I ordered a 4' firestik II off amazon today. Just looking for better reception and transmission. My 3' firefly was tuned in to 1-1.6 swr but just never really happy with the range. great for about 1/4 mile but that was about it.
