Default CB Cobra 29 LTD

Where do you install your cb? It's a little too big so it's kind of difficult to find a place to put this cb... but my girlfriend gave me the limited edition so now it's time to find a place for the cb

I put mine above the rear view mirror cause its outa the way (don't usaually have the mic on), the wires are all hiddn and the speaker is pointed right at me. Plus, its in the classic trucker location. Yes, I am a dork.

I really like this... but I tried to fit the cb above the mirror and there's no space there... how did you do that?? did you relocate your mirror? and one important thing... it's not theft proof, everybody is able to see your cb from the outside ! lol

What I did was put it over head also.

I am trying to find the pics of it....

But basiclly... I got a piece of aluminum channel from Home depot.... And measured from the front screw downs for the door frames.... the forward screw downs on top of the roll bar. Drilled some holes in the channel.. removed the screw downs.... placed the channel and had the screw downs hold it in place. Then had the CB mount bolted to the channel.

I noticed it moved a bit tho.... so I took a piece of flat aluminum and mounted that from the channel to the center loop on the windshield channel.

No movement.

Its been up there for about a year with no issues, on or off road.

They sell one made of steel that does this for about 90 bucks...

Made mine for 11. Rattle canned it black. When I dont really want it seen i remove the mic or just throw the cord up over the rail. Top on and off.. no issues with it being stolen.

Again Ill try to find some pics or Ill take some mroe tomorrow.. might be easier...
Its 1 am... just got home from work and Im tired...

But hope it gives ya another option...
