Default CB in Console with Remote Speaker

Just thought i'd share a few pics of my install. Mostly ideas taken from this site jumbled together.

Cobra CB, Wilson Antenna, External Roll bar foam speaker, 3rd brake light antenna location, Blah blah blah... pics for a reason.

Is that switch there for the CB? How did you wire that up? I have mine in the center console too, and antenna in the same location... but usually just plug it into the power outlet- - I like the switch idea..

My switch lights up so it has 3 spade terminals.

Connect power from your battery (or tap into 12V power outlet behind dash) to your "+" terminal of switch

Connect your CB red "+" wire to the "ACC" spade on the switch

Ground your CB black wire ("-" Vdc) and your Ground spade on your switch to frame or the "-" on your Power outlet. Check your ground by testing continuity to the body (unpainted) or to the outer metal of your cigarrette lighter.

If your switch dosent light up it should just be two spade tabs to connect to... if this is the case just put the switch in line with the "+" power out to the red +12Vdc on CB and ground your black wire from CB to metal body (or "-" of power outlet).

Hope this makes sense.

Is the external speaker mounted at the back of the driver's head?

That pic is too close for me to fully grasp the location.

Looks like it's in the padding of the roll bar directly above the drivers head. That's actually a pretty good place to put that. Looks almost stock and I'm sure it's easy to hear w/ the top down.

My thoughts exactly. Any chance the OP can post another pic that's not so close up?

Snap... i never checked this thread since posting it... will get the pic now for those interested. Yes it is located above the driver's head and yes it sounds nice and loud to me being just a few inches from my head.
