CB or HAM mounted on top center of dash?
Can anyone tell me where the Sat radio antenna is in my 09 Sahara?
If I am thinking of putting the ham or cb radio on the center of the dash... I am concerned that under there might be the hiding place for the antenna.
I read somewhere else that the compass is under there as well.
thanks

Just remember that electronics don't like direct heat. Some will do fine permanently mounted on the dash and others will overheat. Just be careful if you have an expensive radio right on the dash.

The compass is under the top dash panel. A CB parked on top of the dash will render the compass useless.

Thanks guys... I appreciate it!
I won't use my compass often... due to having a gps. Garmin nuvi 500 is on it's way to us via snail mail.
Not sure what I want to do with radios yet.
Thanks for your help!

My only problem, other than the possible SAT problem, would be......what if you have the top off and hit the unexpected downpour, or get into some mud with the top off...??? Electonics, water, and mud, don't do well together. I don't know about you, but I remember times when it was raining mud.....

Does anyone know if mounting there would affect the MYGig? I really want to mount it there but I'm assuming the compass antenna is also used by the GPS Nav.
