Honestly, I believe it. I've had so many issues getting my setup right, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

I checked my swr just now (radio acting up as usual) it's through the roof. Where should I start? Cable, antenna, links? I have two right angle connectors on my setup. Coax should be fine, it's a year old. I checked my antenna ground yesterday, it's fine.
The SWR will be a serious problem and It's almost 100% the antenna system.
Start by disassembling and reassembling. Test again.
I'm guessing you're saying your tested the ground for electrical conductivity. That's not necessarily a good test for the RF ground.
Also, the coax age doesn't make it a sure thing. A pinch in some coax or a cut in the shield and even a one day old coax could be shot.
Check the mount assembly. Look at the instructions to ensure isolators etc are installed correctly.

Well, how should I check for good ground, if not from an electrical standpoint? Also, what are isolators?
Edit: I remembered this morning to check one of my angle connectors. It came apart on me once when I was setting my cb up. I wiggled it back together a bit and immediately got signal. Whether that's the only problem or not is debatable, but it was at least part of it.

Remove any connectors you can. It sounds like that's the problem.

Check out this site for info on mobile radio practice. Great resource. http://www.k0bg.com Remove any connectors you can. It sounds like that's the problem.
